It’s always a very unfortunate thing when harmless actions bring dire consequences to unthinking teens. Such as the case of Vanessa Hudgens, star of Disney’s High School Musical.

There’s been a photo of her naked floating around the Internet for sometime and to Vanessa Hudgens’ credit, she has stepped out and addressed the issue like a dignified adult. She did not try to deny the authenticity of the picture, instead she confirmed that it’s real and I suppose that should shut up a lot of mouths.

Vanessa Hudgens is addressing a nude photo of herself that has hit the Internet, confirming that it’s her and calling the matter “unfortunate.”

“This was a photo which was taken privately,” a rep for the High School Musical star tells TMZ.com. “It is a personal matter and it is unfortunate that this has become public.”

The picture of Hudgens, 18, surfaced on several Web sites Thursday.

Hudgens is currently dating her HSM costar, Zac Efron.
