Prince Harry has apparently overslept and completely forgotten about his girlfriend, Chelsy Davy’s due arrival at London’s Heathrow Airport. Upon walking out of the gates at Terminal 11, she found herself alone, with throngs of paparazzi waiting to snap pictures of her.

She must have had been horrified as she was expecting some semblance of security. I don’t think she had remotely expected Prince Harry to forget about her arrival after a long 11-hour flight to London from South Africa.

The 22-year-old received an ear-bashing from his girlfriend when he arrived half an hour late to pick her up from Heathrow.

The prince had been due to meet Miss Davy, 21, when her 11-hour flight from Johannesburg landed at 6.20am.

But when the Zimbabwean-born student - who is about to start a two-year law course at Leeds University - walked out of the arrivals gate at Terminal 1 there was no sign of her boyfriend.

As photographers swarmed around her, she couldn’t hide her thunderous expression and sought refuge in a nearby Costa Coffee bar where she punched Harry’s number into her mobile phone.

The apologetic prince insisted that he hadn’t overslept but had been waiting at the wrong terminal and sent half a dozen uniformed police officers to protect her.

Five minutes later she walked out of a side entrance - and into the arms of her boyfriend, who looked as if he had just got out of bed.

Fortunately for Chelsy Davy, Prince Harry managed to rescue her in time before she got devoured by the paparazzi. He even helped her with the luggage. What a lucky girl this Chelsy Davy, to have a prince hauling her luggage around for her.
