Is Britney Spears planning to unleash another performance at the Emmy Awards?

Britney Spears is not gonna let one lousy performance keep her down. Us Weekly is reporting that Britney might get back on stage as soon as Sunday for the Emmy’s.

According to an Emmy source, Brit Brit is “in negotiations” to go to the Emmy’s. “The idea is to have her come on and apologize for the VMAs. She’s weighing the offer.”

A source close to Spears says: “I can’t say this is 100 percent not true. All I can say is that the Emmy people aren’t dealing with her record company, her manager or her agents at William Morris. So if she is doing anything for the Emmys then it’s not going through the official channels.”

To be honest, I’d really love to see her perform at the Emmy’s. Perhaps she’s warmed up a bit to performing to large audience since that bitter experience in MTV Video Music Awards, and would actually do a better job. She’s been inactive for so long and there are bound to be hiccups along the way, the VMAs was surely only one of them.

I have faith in Britney Spears. She was not the biggest popstar on earth for nothing.
