VIRGIN boss Sir Richard Branson has donated £100,000 to help Madeleine McCann’s parents to clear their name.

The family decided last week that it would not use a fund set up to find missing Maddie – to which Sir Richard has already donated £1 million – to cover legal expenses.

Now the tycoon has urged other wealthy Britons to also contribute to a legal defence fund for the couple.

“If he can help a little bit to take the burden off the family and extended family in this small way, then that’s all to the good,” a spokeman said.
