Christina Aguilera went on a romantic dinner with husband, Jordan Bratman at Venice Beach. With her trademark red lips, she looked radiant and contented.

In an interview with E! Entertainment, Christina Aguilera opened up about her past as an abused child. She was found in a pool of blood by her mother one day. The person who did that to her was her own father. She also talked about how wonderful a husband is Jordan Bratman.

Aguilera tells E!, “I witnessed a lot of unpleasant things – a lot of pushing and shoving and fighting and quarreling. Growing up I did not feel safe. Feeling powerless is the worst feeling in the world. I turned to singing as an outlet. The pain at home is where my love for music came from.”

Her mother Shelly also joined in on the conversation of the documentary recalling a time when she found her daughter bloody and shook up. Shelly says, “I scooped her up and said, ‘Oh my God. What’s wrong?’ She told me, ‘Daddy wanted to take a nap and I made too much noise.’”

She is a far cry from the child who had an abusive father. It’s good to know that Aguilera did not use her childhood as an excuse to screw up her life. Instead, she channels her hurt into beautiful, haunting, goosebumps raising music
